4 new levels for the wargame!
The two last "classic" levels:
  • The Fridge, a beer overflow (or not?) challenge by 0vercl0k
  • mymalloc, by NiklosKoda
Introduction of the first new "Esoteric" levels:
  • JSExec, by NiklosKoda
  • inception, by NiklosKoda (deeeeeper!)

Esoteric levels introduce a new feature: these levels are not anymore in a "storyline" mode, they all are available once you solved classic10 (mymalloc).
These challenges are not necessarily harder than "classics", the main point is that they are different.

Some challenges'points were updated (the trend is downward).
A preview of modifications is available here.
Some old challenges were over-noted since some other new harder challenges were added, so the problem should be fixed.
Of course, because it still is based on a manual point system, some of you will still find some inconsistencies.
Pending the establishment of the point system's reform, you always can propose your ideas on this thread

A few challenges were also a bit retouched:
- [crypto] RSA Server: modulo bug fixed, thanks Ufox & vortex
- [hacking] Mobile-Downloads: hint added, that should move away from possible wrong tracks
- [hacking] An images gallery: Improvement of the challenge, which is getting more realistic
- [hacking] Authentication: Added some other possible solutions, that lower the guess
- [prog] Chuck Norris Challenge: Autologin bug fixed (not tested)

The challenge "A classical one" [stegano] moved to /dev/null.

I don't use Putty but there are no reasons for it not to work. A lot of people logged in successfully.
Here are my suggestions:
  • You did a typo, check you have the good user, password, and of course the good port ( 10101 ) and domain (wargame.w3challs.com).
  • It might also be your firewall that doesn't allow connections on this port, check that.
I really don't know what else it could be.

When I try to connect to the 'wargame.w3challs.com' server with PuTTY,
on SSH the connection only lasts about 20 seconds then a
'server closed unexpectedly' message appears in PuTTY.

I can successfully connect using SSH and PuTTY to a
couple of other sites.

Any suggestions as to what i am doing wrong ?
